“It does not take many words to tell the truth”
Sitting Bull – Guardian of a Nation
The 11th release in the Legendary Warriors series honors Sitting Bull, the renowned Hunkpapa Lakota leader whose life became a beacon of courage and defiance.
Born on the Great Plains, Sitting Bull rose as both warrior and visionary, guiding his people through relentless struggle. In 1876, his leadership and prophecy helped shape the legendary victory at the Battle of the Little Bighorn, where General Custer’s forces were defeated. This triumph made him a living symbol of resistance against American encroachment.
Even after his surrender in 1881, Sitting Bull’s spirit never wavered. Confined to a reservation, he remained the voice and strength of his people, tirelessly advocating for Lakota rights and dignity.
In 1890, when authorities sought to silence him, tragedy struck. During his arrest, he was killed, and his death became the spark that led to the sorrowful massacre at Wounded Knee.
Though his life ended in turmoil, his legend lives on. Sitting Bull stands eternal—not only as a warrior, but as a guardian of freedom and the enduring spirit of the Lakota.
